Child Brain Development

What children learn will have an important impact on brain development, successful learning experiences in school, on personal development and on future participation in society.

Self-initiative, decision making, independence, creativity, the ability to learn, the ability to relate to others and feelings of self-worth all have their childhood.

The Child Brain Developmental focuses on developmental disabilities and mental health disorders with origins in early development in infants, children, adolescents and young adults.

Behavioral, cognitive, socioemotional, neurobiological, behavioral and molecular genetic, and neuroimaging approaches are examined. Developmental psychopathology focuses on and integrates these two areas, looking at maladaptive processes themselves as well.
